LAS VEGS -- Metro police are investigating a shooting that injured a Black Friday shopper.
It happened around 9:45 p.m. Thursday. According to police, a man purchased a big-screen television from the Target near Flamingo Rd. and Maryland Pkwy. While he was walking to a nearby apartment complex, a suspect approached and fired a warning shot, causing the victim to drop the television.
Officers tell 8 News NOW the suspect then took the television to a nearby waiting vehicle, where a second suspect was waiting. As the first suspect was loading the television into the vehicle, the victim approached and tried to get the television back. That prompted the suspect to fire several more rounds, shooting the victim in the leg.
The victim was taken to Sunrise Trauma with non-life threatening injuries.
Metro has not released a description on the suspects or their vehicle. An investigation is ongoing.
