City mayors around the country were instructed by the Obama administration to end the Occupy demonstrations in their cities. According To Rush Limbaugh..

Oh his radio show Wednesday, Rush Limbaugh charged that city mayors around the country were instructed by the Obama administration to end the Occupy demonstrations in their cities.

“There was collusion at the highest levels,” Limbaugh said. “Obama cleared them out of there, that’s what happened, because the poll numbers started to plummet. I don’t have any doubt that’s what happened.”

Limbaugh was referring to moves by municipalities around the country to break up the protests, which culminated early Tuesday morning with New York City police clearing Zuccotti Park in lower Manhattan.

“The mayors got phone calls from Washington, from Axelrod, from somebody,” Limbaugh said. “Saying: ‘Look, let’s shut this down because it’s not working anymore.’”

Zuccotti Park was the site of the first Occupy Wall Street protests and had been continually occupied since the demonstrations began in September.

It was cleared starting at 1 a.m. Tuesday and police seized protesters’ tents, generators, and other gear, ending the almost two-month occupation.
