President Obama please stop trying to shift gears , and concentrate on getting this loaded 18 wheeler ( our economy) safely to the bottom and out of the left or right hand ditch, so we can get back up the other side. i will explain!!
In my very humble opinion President Obama can still become a good president, it may be time for Mr. Obama to have a come to Jesus moment, as Saul did on the way to Damasucus and change course. i truly believe that Mr.Obama could turn out to be a better President than some one like Rick Perry or Mit Romney could or will be.
President Obama , i had a friend who drove 18 wheeler trucks for a living, as i had at one time and he told me a great story that is analagous to your dilemma in my opinion , he said he started down a steep grade in New Mexico and realized the gear he was in was to high and that he needed a lower gear to keep the engine from over revving and blowing up, and subsequetly running the truck into the ditch and killing himself and others.
So he proceeded to kick the truck outta gear and try for a lower one, which is a fatal flaw because his engine being over wound you can't slow it down to get a lower gear etc, He realized his mistake and knew he only now had one option which was to ride this big rig down the hill while trying to keep it from wrecking. Brakes at this point are also not an option as your will literally catch them on fire from the friction of trying to do the impossible by stopping a runaway truck. So he did the only thing left he grabbed the steering wheel with both hands and rode that big truck to the bottom , he told me he thought he hit over 90 mph going down that grade and i asked what he did when he got it stopped at the bottom of the hill, he laughed and said he picked up a book (once he calmed down) and and read the entire book.. True story.... His truck was then still in good shape to climb the next hill after the valley and proceed to deliver his cargo. President Obama it may be time for you to stop worrying about controlling this mess that was handed to you and that you have just made worse from the obvious bad advice you are getting and save this truck so you can finish your ( and our trip) ..
